Finally, An Update

It's been a while between updates with the host machine being formatted and all, but here we are again...

The biggest news is our upcoming TurfWars clash with TuF, which unfortunately has been put back twice now due to difficulties with resolving timezone issues. Unfortunately the rest of TurfWars has ground to a standstill until this match can be played, so getting it done is a high priority for us.

After that, the next big event will be our grudge match vs TSG... which will inevitably be full of feeling against our good mates Omega, Phae, mode and DarkBill. ; )

On a related note, Omega has been marked for Death by the Upright Man himself.

Mockers Defeat TCO in Nail-biter

After some initial disruptions beyond the control of everyone involved, the Mockers knuckled down against a determined TCO side. A draw on Nostalgia opened up an exciting finish on Spider. In the end M was successful in defending its turf of Spider, and thus won Nostalgia. This puts us to #1 in TurfWars.

GG TCO, and gj to our three players - Beast, Rodent and Yenzarill.

Mockers' Newest Guildsman

The Mockers would like to officially welcome the newest guildsman to our ranks.

From this point forth, Jester is now the Mockers' Hawk, and a fully-fledged member.

We look forward to his continuing involvement in the guild.

Marks Collection Spree

The last few days have seen all Death Marks and the majority of Basher Marks collected by Mocker Guildsmen.

CrouchingDork, PhaeThorn and KewlAzMe were all claimed, screenshots and other details have been added to the Marks section.

M v2.5 is Here

Version 2.5 of the website is now uploaded. Changes include:

- A new Marks section

- Updates to guildsmen profiles

- Updates to About information, including an Upright Man section

- Addition of a Guildsmen Hierarchy diagram on the Members page

- Some fine-tuning of the flash intro

- Miscellaneous other small changes.

Aside from that, the Mockers are once more actively recruiting and are looking forward to the confrontation with TCO in TurfWars.

Tell Them... The Upright Man is Back.

A new power has risen to lead the Mockers, to take the position once held by the Sagacious Man. He is known only as the Upright Man.

Henceforth the guild will be run by the iron grip of the Upright Man, through his two captains - the Nightmaster, (myself), and the Nightwarden, Yenzarill.

Sagacious Man No More.

Mockers Thievery Guild enters a new era as we undergo a change of leadership. From this point forward I am no longer the Sagacious Man, and I no longer lead the Mockers. I will continue to stay on as Fence, and hopefully once I... "acquire" a new connection I'll be a more active player in public servers and wars. For the time-being, I'll continue to run the site.

Also, it's now official: the Nightmaster of the Mockers is .:m.rodent, and the Nightwarden is .:m.yenzarill. Have a look at the complete ranks listing, member profiles, and ranking descriptions in the members section.

Meanwhile the normal, profitable business of the Mockers continues to run smoothly.

Mockers Updates

A couple of corrections have been made and some new content added. Ranks for individual Mockers will be assigned in the next week - at the moment we are finalizing the two key leadership positions within Mockers Thievery Guild - the Nightmaster and Nightwarden. Also, we hope to finalize the date of the ToB TurfWars match.

That's just about it for now.

Mockers Site v2.2 Launch & TuF Outrage

Welcome to the brand new .:Mockers Thievery Guild website (v2.2)! Enjoy the new information and history - the new rankings system will be assigned by a vote in the next week or two - most likely before we war ToB in TurfWars.

With the frenzy of activity on the TUT forums about the discovery of TuF's activities, I think I should put in my opinion (for a bit of space-filler, of course). I don't think badly of the TuF at all - in fact, almost the opposite (which probably makes me a guildmaster in the minority). Easy for me to say, perhaps, as Mockers was untouched - as far as we currently know, anyway - however, I would say this:

I think TuF was in the spirit of roleplay. The whole idea was of a 'shadowy' organization and that's what they were setting out to achieve. They played the intrigue game, and unfortunately for them they lost when they tried to recruit from CTG (which may well have been another attempt, if CTG was already infiltrated). Now that they've been caught I don't have any grudges against them, it was just bad luck they were found out before they had a chance to try their style in TurfWars. I hope TuF does stay on as a guild, althought this may be unlikely with the current furore. I think that just about sums up my thoughts on the issue.
